At BinkerBox, the music and the art are made together from day one. We treat the soundtrack as half the game, not something added at the end, and we keep each game in the box until it sounds as good as it looks.

Our first game
A short, punchy rhythm game. Arrows slide toward the targets, you hit them on the beat, and a very serious frog dances whether it likes it or not.

Art
Kali draws the worlds. Once spent three full days on a single blade of grass and still refuses to say which one. Owns more brushes than socks, and has strong opinions about the color of shadows that nobody has been brave enough to argue with.

Music
FX makes the music. Nobody knows what FX stands for, and FX has given eleven different answers, each delivered with total confidence. Can write a boss theme in the time it takes a kettle to boil, and now has a kick drum sampled from that kettle.

Backend and frontend
Ben writes the code that runs the game and the code that makes it look like it runs the game. Has never once said “it works on my machine” out loud, but thinks it about four times a day. Currently negotiating a peace treaty between two of Ben’s own functions.

Art
Wheels also draws the worlds, mostly while drifting slowly across the room in an office chair. The nickname is about the chair. Probably. Responsible for every creature in the game with too many eyes, and insists each one has a name and a favorite snack.

Saxophone and ambience
Max plays the saxophone and handles the ambience, which mostly means playing the saxophone in a dark room until everything feels moody. Will add a smooth sax solo to any scene, including the menu, the credits and, once, by accident, the loading screen. Owns a fog machine and insists it is for work.
